Your film look runs live in the viewfinder, so the photo you frame is the photo you get. FILM, NOT FILTERS Halation glowing around lights, grain built from real grains that sits in the shadows like a negative, a soft highlight shoulder instead of digital clipping, and colour that shifts the way film dyes do. Every look is built from how film behaves. FILMAHOLIC'S OWN FILMS The Below house looks, portrait and consumer films, tungsten cinema film, slide film, black and whites and 8mm Grainlation. New this version: Portrait 400, Golden 200, Chrome 64, Cinema 500T, Riviera 200, Reel 50 and Jade 800, which develop from the light the camera actually saw. Swipe across the viewfinder to change film, and hide the ones you never use. 2X EXPOSURE Two frames on one negative, as film does it: where one is dark the other shows through, and where one is bright it burns in. In the camera, or with any two photos in the darkroom. SUPER 8, 16 MM, CINEMA AND VHS Video gauges bring their own frame rate, gate, grain, dust and weave. Super 8 comes with three stocks, from a classic home movie to a modern negative, and a 50 ft cartridge that runs out, as a real one does. Develop videos you've already shot on Super 8 too. DEVELOPED FROM RAW On iPhone Pro models, stills are developed from Apple ProRAW, up to 48 MP, so highlights roll off like film instead of clipping. Keep the original beside every shot if you like. A DARKROOM IN YOUR POCKET Open any photo, RAW included, and see every look on your own picture on the proof sheet. Choose how it's printed, crop, then fine-tune light, tone, colour and texture, and add lens filters: glows, star filters and split focus. Exports are full resolution. Bring in your own Lightroom presets and .cube LUTs. BUILD YOUR OWN FILM Make a film stock from scratch, one question at a time: film type, contrast, blacks, colour, light, grain, print and effects, each with live previews on your own photo. Then shoot with it, or share it. THE COMMUNITY A feed of photos shot on Filmaholic, each with the film it was shot on, so you can shoot with it too. Post yours in a tap, follow who's posted today across the top of Home, and set up a profile with your photo, bio and Instagram. Share the looks you make, try other people's on your own photo before you add them, and enter weekly photo challenges. Optional: the camera and darkroom need no account. YOUR PHOTOS Everything you shoot is kept together, with the film each photo was shot on. Lay up to 20 along a 35 mm strip for a carousel or a Story, or turn your month into Stories as a contact sheet, prints or a mosaic. Frame single shots with thin or 35 mm scan borders, film burns and cinema crops, in 9:16 or 4:3. Shoot from the lock screen with the Filmaholic control. Free, with no subscription and no ads. Your photos stay on your phone unless you share them.
