Free

Read your own text one word at a time, import text-based PDFs and choose a comfortable display pace. Keep a local library and review your sessions. Your text, one word at a time. SpeedRead displays words in the center of the screen. Choose a display pace and pause whenever you need to. READ YOUR OWN CONTENT • Paste your own text and set a pace for the session. • Import PDFs with an existing text layer on iPhone and iPad. Text extraction runs locally on your device. • Keep imported texts in your library and return to your saved reading position. EXPLORE YOUR PACE • Start with the built-in reading challenge or choose a preset speed. • Tap to pause and resume when you are ready. • Review completed sessions, word counts and selected speeds in your local profile. MAKE IT YOURS • Light and dark appearance. • English and German interface. • Optional profile name and a picture from your photo library. • No account required. No in-app purchases. Your library, reading positions and profile are stored on your device. The app does not provide cloud synchronization. WPM describes the selected display speed, not a measurement of comprehension. SpeedRead does not guarantee a particular improvement in reading ability. PDF import requires an existing text layer. Image-only scans and locked PDFs are not supported; OCR is not included. Complex layouts may affect text order. Keep your original documents separately.
