A verse read in the morning is usually gone by noon. BibleDiary sets it on a wallpaper for your lock screen, so you read it again every time you pick up your phone. Write a line when you want to, and by the end of the year those days are already laid out as a book.
ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN
One tap sets the verse on a wallpaper and saves it as a lock screen or home screen background. The wallpaper verse can change each day, come from your saved verses, or stay fixed until you change it. Set it on a photograph or an illustration (a selection comes free), or on your own photo. Chinese and English verses are laid out separately, and a long verse drops to a size you can still read.
TODAY'S VERSE
The whole verse arrives as a notification at the time you choose, so you can read it without opening the app. There are 23 themes, such as peace, worry, courage and hope: follow one a verse a day and move on to the next when it ends, or take a different theme every day. The library also holds 340 hand-picked verses in 7 themes. It all happens on your phone, offline.
WRITE WHEN YOU WANT TO
One line is a whole entry, no title needed, written under the verse you started from. Add photos or a voice recording; photos have their GPS and camera data removed before they are stored. Looking back, each month is a row of small wallpapers: the day's verse on the day's picture.
YEAR BOOK
A year of your entries, the verse each one goes with, your photos and, if you like, your saved verses, laid out as an A5 book and exported as a PDF. Make it for the whole year, one month, or any dates you pick. Preview the first 6 pages for free; Plus exports the whole book. In English, verses come from the KJV; your own entries print as you wrote them.
READ THE BIBLE
The Chinese Union Version (Shen edition) and the KJV, complete and offline: 66 books, 1,189 chapters, 31,102 verses. Search the whole text and read in airplane mode. 8 reading plans (the whole Bible, the New Testament, the Gospels, Psalms, Proverbs, Genesis, John and Acts), or set your own chapters per day. Progress counts passages, so missing a day breaks nothing.
ONLY YOU CAN READ IT
Entries are encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM, with the key in the iOS Keychain. Turn on the journal lock to open it with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Cloud backup is optional and encrypted on your phone before upload, so our servers only hold ciphertext. You can permanently delete your account and cloud data inside the app. No ads, no third-party tracking.
