Chase the horizon through desert, jungle and neon city in a pixel-art arcade racer. Dodge traffic, nail the checkpoints, climb the leaderboards. Sunset Apex is a love letter to the 16-bit arcade racers of the late 80s and early 90s — pure pick-up-and-play speed, dressed in hand-crafted pixel art and a driving chiptune soundtrack. Hold the horizon. Touch the left or right edge of the screen to steer, and let the road come at you. Every world is one continuous, endless run — the further you drive, the tighter the curves and the thicker the traffic get. THREE WORLDS • Desert — a purple dusk over orange dunes, cacti and dead trees, with sand drifts and tumbleweeds rolling across the tarmac. • Jungle — humid greens, ancient ruins and palms, slick puddles that steal your grip. • Urban — a neon city at night, sodium streetlights and taxis, roadworks and drifting steam. DRIVE OR DIE Clip a rival, a roadside tree or a barrier and your damage climbs. Hit 100% and the engine dies, the car rolls to a stop, and the run is over. Beat the checkpoint clock to keep going, and steer clean lines through the hazards. PICK YOUR ROUTE Signposted forks split the road — the side you take decides what's ahead and banks you a bonus. • Crisp, hand-made 8-bit pixel art and parallax skies • A detailed steering car that leans into every corner • Chiptune music and punchy retro sound • Optional CRT screen mode, plus music, sound and haptics settings • Game Center leaderboards and achievements — one board and best score per world • Plays entirely offline. No ads, no tracking, no accounts. Sign in to Game Center to chase the top of the boards, or just drive. Either way, hold your line and chase the sunset.
