Work your way: fingers on a grid built for touch, or a full shortcut set on a hardware keyboard. Built-in instruments and effects, your AUv3 plug-ins, or both. Your own samples, imported or recorded. Notes go into rows, three FX columns shape every step, and patterns become songs. Tracker veterans will feel at home in a minute; everyone else gets a fast, precise way to write beats. TRACKER • Up to 16 tracks, patterns up to 128 rows, per-track lengths for polymeter • 3 FX columns per step and 26 step commands, from retrigger, chance and glide to slice, macro, groove and jump • Chords: up to 6 notes in a single step, on any instrument • Tables: 16-row sequences that run inside a note, for arpeggios and rhythmic modulation • Swing plus 16 groove templates, assignable per track • 8 macros and 12 automation lanes per track, with knob-ride recording • Song view with sections, repeats, loop ranges, per-track block mute and transpose, and live row cueing • 100 levels of undo, copy and paste, ripple insert and delete • Play and record from a MIDI keyboard or on-screen keys, 17 scales SAMPLER • Record from the mic, an audio interface, any track, a return bus or the master, or import WAV, AIFF and CAF • Slice by transient, beat grid, equal 8/16/32/48 or by hand, up to 48 slices, and play slices from the grid • Vintage character: true 12, 8, 6 and 4-bit resampling, plus Amiga-style Paula interpolation for the real 8-bit crunch • Vintage stretch: S950-style cycle splicing keeps the pitch, varispeed does not.
