The AI in Cairn runs on your iPad, not on a server. Page summaries work on a plane, and nothing you read is ever sent anywhere. It is a browser built for the way research actually happens: in episodes, put down and picked up days later.
SUMMARIES THAT NEVER LEAVE THE DEVICE
Page summaries run on your iPad through Apple Intelligence. No account, no server, no page content sent anywhere, and they work with no connection at all.
ASK THE PAGE, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE
Ask About This Page answers from what you're reading, with its sources shown underneath. Reader lists the key points above long articles, and Simplify rewrites any of them in plain language — the original is a tap away.
SPACES KEEP THEIR OWN SIGN-INS
Each Space has its own cookie store, not just its own tab list. Sign in to the same site as two different people at once — work in one Space, personal in another. Essentials keep the sites you use every day pinned at the top, signed in as that Space. Nothing crosses between them.
CAIRNS BRING A SESSION BACK
Freeze everything open in a Space — the tabs and where you were on each page — into a named marker. Restore it weeks later and find it exactly as you left it. Restoring never closes anything you already have open.
FIND A PAGE BY DESCRIBING IT
Search History for “that sleep article from last week” instead of the exact words that were on it. Cairn finds the page from what you remember about it.
A SEARCH ENGINE PER SPACE
Work can search Google while personal searches DuckDuckGo. Seven providers, chosen per Space rather than once for the whole app.
TRACKERS BLOCKED BEFORE THE REQUEST
Blocking runs inside WebKit, before anything is sent. Blocked requests never leave your iPad. A weekly Privacy Report shows what got blocked, without any of it leaving the device either. If one site needs tracking off, turn it off for that site alone — every other tab keeps its protection.
SPLIT VIEW THAT EARNS THE SCREEN
Two pages side by side, and they can come from different Spaces — so you can compare a document in one identity against a document in another.
WRITE A REQUEST ONCE, RUN IT ON ANY PAGE
Skills save a request like “list the prices” or “summarize the comments” so you can run it on any page you're reading, without typing it again.
CAIRN WATCHES OUT FOR YOU
It warns before you land on a page that looks like a scam, and never blocks the page itself. Watch any page from its menu, and Cairn tells you when it changes.
NO ACCOUNT, NO TELEMETRY, NO ADS
Cairn has no analytics, no crash reporter that sees your URLs, and no remote logging. There is nothing to sign up for.
