NightPlanet: White Noise Sleep
Rain Sounds & Brown Noise Mix
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Can't sleep? Layer rain, ocean waves, campfire and brown noise into your perfect soundscape. Works fully offline.
Tossing and turning at night? Finally fall asleep, only to be woken by footsteps upstairs, a roommate's TV, or traffic outside? Trying to study or work while noise keeps creeping into your ears?
NightPlanet puts 16 sounds in your pocket: rain, thunderstorm, ocean waves, stream, campfire, birdsong, crickets, wind, white noise, pink noise, brown noise, cafe chatter, fan, airplane cabin, keyboard and vinyl crackle. Blend them freely and mix your own quiet.
TRUE SOUND MIXER
Every sound comes with its own switch and volume slider, adjustable in real time while playing. Layer rain, distant thunder and a campfire, or combine brown noise with a gentle stream. Import up to 8 of your own audio files into the mix. Combinations like these need a true mixer, not a one-sound player.
ONE-TAP SCENES
15 hand-tuned presets in four packs: Peaceful Sleep, Deep Focus, Daytime Nap and Layered Soundscapes. Soft Rain, Campfire Night, Cafe Morning, Rainy Cafe - tap once and it starts playing.
A SLEEP TIMER THAT FADES, NOT CUTS
Set anywhere from 10 to 240 minutes. When time is up, the sound fades out gently like a tide instead of cutting to silence, so you won't be startled awake. Pausing freezes the timer automatically, and a Focus timer mode tracks your sleep and focus time separately.
BREATHING EXERCISES
Three guided rhythms: 4-7-8 for sleep, Box breathing for balance, and 4-6 for focus. A glowing ring and gentle haptics guide every phase, while your soundscape keeps playing underneath. Rain in your ears, one slow breath at a time.
SAVE YOUR OWN PRESETS
Save any mix as a preset, then apply, preview, layer and fine-tune it anytime.
APPLE WATCH APP, NO PHONE NEEDED
Play straight from your wrist with Bluetooth headphones and turn the Digital Crown to adjust volume. Save your personal mixes right on the watch.
WIDGETS, LOCK SCREEN
Restore your last mix or jump straight to a scene from Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets. Long-press the app icon for quick controls.
AIRPLAY AND BLUETOOTH READY
Stream to any speaker or headphones. Playback pauses automatically when headphones disconnect, so nothing blasts out loud at 2 AM, and resumes by itself after a phone call.
WHEN YOU'LL USE IT
Falling asleep: soft rain masks the hallway noise.
Napping: twenty minutes of crickets or rain on a window.
Studying and work: cafe morning or white noise to block distractions.
Traveling: the familiar hum of a plane cabin makes any hotel feel like home.
Unwinding: ocean waves with a breathing exercise.
