Say it aloud and hear yourself
Listen to a phrase, hold the microphone button and say it. See the words the app recognized, compare them with the example and try again. Replay your recording during the session to hear your attempt.
Build sentences with grammar you can use
Each target language has two courses of 30 lessons. Work through explanations, examples and exercises at your own pace. Practice verb forms separately, including English phrasal verbs, and return to phrases that need more work.
Train your ear for numbers, dates and prices
Use dedicated listening and speaking exercises to rehearse details you need to catch in a conversation: a time, a date or an amount at the checkout.
Prepare for everyday situations
Practice phrases for shopping, visiting a pharmacy, arranging an appointment and getting around. Choose a topic you need now or follow the course map.
Choose a supported language pair

All current materials are free
Courses, trainers and materials labelled Premium are currently available without a purchase. There are no ads. Learning materials are included in the app and progress is stored on your device.
Speech recognition can make mistakes; its feedback is a practice aid, not a certified assessment of your accent or fluency. Voice features depend on your device, installed language resources and recognition mode, and may need an internet connection. Apple speech services may process audio. Recordings are temporary for replay within the session.
Limited usage analytics is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings. Sending feedback to the developer is optional.
