Wanderlure: Walk the Unknown
Adventure starts at your door

Pick a mood, not a place. Wanderlure picks somewhere nearby and walks you there one turn at a time, buzzing in your hand so you can keep your head up.
You do not choose where you are going. Your phone does, and you will not know where you end up until you are standing in front of it.
Wanderlure is a walking app for people who keep meaning to go outside. Swap the next video for the next street. Pick how you feel today, press start, and follow a direction instead of a feed.
WHAT WILL LURE YOU TODAY
Wander. A light, easy walk. A destination finds you.
Dare walk. A slightly eerie stroll for the days you want a small thrill. You can turn back at any point, the app keeps you on streets with lights and people, and late at night it keeps the destination close.
Fate walk. Follow today's luck in love. It is a fortune, nothing more. You never have to speak to anyone.
Each one comes with a short mission for the walk, or you can write your own, so a walk never feels random for the sake of it.
OR PICK THE PLACE AND LET US PICK THE WAY
Eum-gil, Korean for a path that takes the long way round, is the other half of the app. Choose somewhere you already want to go, tell us how long you would like to take, and we draw a way there that is not the one you always use. Same destination, longer and newer.
IT BUZZES, SO YOU CAN LOOK UP
There is no route to stare at. Your phone shows a direction and a distance, and buzzes faster as you face the right way and get closer. One long buzz means you have arrived at a point. Hold it like a compass and follow the buzz. Screen off, the guidance keeps going, with a lock screen notice when you reach a point.
The arrow is a rough direction, not a line to follow.
AND YOU GET HOME
Set your walking time and we plan it as a round trip: half the time out, half the time back. Destinations stay within walking reach, never more than 8 km away. At any moment you can head back to the start, the fast way or the long way.
WHAT YOU FIND ALONG THE WAY
A good place to eat, a cafe, a cat, a hidden alley, a view worth stopping for. Save it with a photo and a line about how it felt, and it goes into your walk log. Save the route too, and walk it again another day.
At the end there is a card for the walk: your walking time, an estimate of your steps, and how long your screen stayed off. Share it if you like. No map, no coordinates, no starting point and no time of day go on the card, and you choose whether it shows your neighborhood.
THOUGHTS YOU HAVE WHILE WALKING
Ideas turn up on a walk. Tap once and leave one in Notes for later, then go back to your steps.
PROMISES, NOT BLOCKS
Before you set off you can promise yourself a few things for this walk: no social media, no short videos, no news, no earphones, messages can wait. The app does not block anything and it is not a screen time tool.
WHAT IT COSTS
Download it and use it as it is - there is nothing to buy inside the app.
No ad ever plays on its own while you walk. Ads appear in only two places:
- Random-destination walks of 45+ minutes: you are told before you set off, and one ad plays after you arrive, when you tap Save a place you found or Finish. Heading back never shows an ad.
- More photos: tap it yourself to add more than one photo to a record, and a short video plays. Skip it and your record still saves.
WHAT LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No account, no sign-up, no server of ours. Your walks, places and notes are stored on this phone only.
To draw a walking route we send your start and end points to our map routing provider, and map images for the area on screen load from OpenStreetMap. We keep no history.
Location is used while a walk is running, including in the background so the guidance continues with the screen off. It stops when the walk stops.
WHO IT IS FOR
People who walk alone and like it that way. People whose evenings disappear into a screen.
There are no friends, no feed, no leaderboard and no step goals here. It is built for one thing: turning the minutes you would have spent scrolling into a few more streets outside, toward wherever you end up next.
iPhone only.
