The game follows a fixed historical chronology. Ten rulers take the throne in order, each with his own capital, his own army and his own campaigns. A campaign marches only when the realm holds both the army it needs and a sustained treasury income. When a reign's campaigns are done, the throne passes to the heir in an accession ceremony at the Gate of Felicity.
• 49 historical campaigns, from Karacahisar (1288) to Szigetvár (1566), each with its own miniature, battle scene and written account
• Ten deeds, one for each sultan, from the Nevbet to the Haseki Complex, each closed with a small game of its own and leaving a lasting keepsake
• Today's Ferman: three orders a day; carry them out, seal the ferman and take its purse. Every seventh day in a row pays double and two dynasty points

• 33 troop types that change with the era: alps, akıncı raiders, janissaries, şahi gun crews, each with its own history

• The Bazaar: optional purchases. Three palace styles that change only the look, akçe packs and four historical pashas. A pasha serves only in his own sultan's reign, adding income and army power and halving the losses of one battle. The whole chronicle can be played without buying anything

The game is free. Optional rewarded ads let you double your offline earnings, earn twice the income for 15 minutes or, once in each reign, add soldiers to your army; watching one is never required. No account creation is required. Progress is stored on your device and syncs across your devices when iCloud is available.
• The Bazaar is open: three permanent palace styles, repeatable akçe packs and four historical pashas who serve in their own reign. Permanent purchases can be restored; the entire game is playable without purchasing.

• Battles on the Karagöz screen: the two armies march across the foot of the scene as shadow puppets, Byzantines in the early wars and an eastern army in the civil wars
• Two historical events: Mehmed's letter of 1444 calls Murad II back to the army, and at the festival of 1530 you face Matrakçı Nasuh in a matrak bout
• Finishing the chronicle now opens a finale of its own
• After each reign's first campaign, the next ones ask for more power and income; endless victories pay from the men they cost
• Won campaigns fold into one strip, deed games open on their rules, and the Dynasty tab lights up when a talent can be bought
• The A Thousand Spears and The Grand Army honours count every soldier raised; names and wording made consistent; fixes
