Find and replace text, add prefixes and suffixes, change case, clean up names and reformat dates. Save your favourite setups as reusable presets. USE WHAT’S ALREADY IN YOUR FILES Build names from available photo capture dates, camera and lens details, document text and supported audio/video properties. Compare original and proposed names together before applying changes. ADD AI WHEN IT HELPS Use a supported local model to suggest useful document details or describe image content. Review and edit the findings, then choose which details belong in the filename. Customer file content is processed on your Mac, without cloud AI analysis. PLAN YOUR FOLDERS VISUALLY Turn a mixed collection into an editable folder plan with AI Organise. Follow each file’s route, adjust folders and destinations, and resolve conflicts before creating organised copies. Source files stay in place. DROP FILES. REPEAT THE WORKFLOW. Export a saved naming setup as a Finder Droplet. Drag files or folders onto it to apply those rules in the background without opening Identifile. Review the setup before exporting: dropping files runs the saved workflow. Double-click for help, Undo Last Run or Edit Settings. KEEP CONTROL Create renamed copies when you want to preserve originals. Review proposed changes in the app, use supported undo operations and export operation history for reference. Undo depends on the relevant files remaining available and unchanged. BUILT FOR YOUR MAC Requires an Apple silicon Mac running macOS 14.4 or later. Logical Renaming works without AI. The local AI engine is included; optional models need an initial download and additional storage. Performance and results depend on your Mac, files and selected model. Review model terms and AI findings before use. Audio analysis does not include speech transcription. Apple purchase verification may require an internet connection. No advertising, behavioural analytics or automatic crash-reporting SDK.
