Jackdaw is the phone app for a Mantle brain, the self-hosted memory you run on your own machine. Mantle keeps your mail, notes, files, journals, tasks and events in one place and remembers all of it. Jackdaw is how you reach it from your phone. WHAT YOU CAN DO Chat with your assistant. Replies stream in as they are written. Attach a photo, a file, a voice note or your location to any message. Search everything. One search box over pages, notes, files, mail, tasks and events, with results that link straight to the item. Read and write on the go. Notes with tags, pages, tasks, a journal, and a files browser with camera and library upload. Stay on time. Events fire an alarm on your phone at the exact minute, even with no signal. Reminders arrive as notifications. Work offline. Recent chat is cached. Messages you send without a connection queue up and go when you are back online. Get notified. When your assistant replies while the app is closed, a notification arrives. Its content is encrypted end to end. The relay that delivers it cannot read it. WHAT YOU NEED A Mantle brain. Mantle is open source and installs with one command on a Linux server you control. See https://mantle-ai.tech to set one up. On first launch Jackdaw asks for your server address, then your login. WHO OWNS THE DATA You do. Jackdaw holds no account, no database and no analytics. Everything it shows lives on your server. The only outside service involved is the push relay, and it only ever sees encrypted notifications. Jackdaw is made by Cross Works Engineering. Source is public.
