Work out the lye, the water and the bar profile before you weigh a thing. Cure timers, shelf stock, costing and an offline safety guide, all on your device. CandySuds is a bench companion for people who make cold process soap. Choose your fats from a catalogue of 34 oils and butters, set a superfat and a water ratio, and the four step calculator works out the sodium or potassium hydroxide, the water and the finished batch weight. As you move the percentages it also predicts how the bar will behave, scoring hardness, cleansing, conditioning, lather and shelf life against the ranges the craft has settled on, so you can see a harsh or short lived bar before you pour it. Every batch you make gets a dated entry with a cure timer, which means you always know what is ready and what still needs another fortnight. The pantry keeps track of what is on the shelf, draws it down when you pour, warns you before you run out and costs each batch right down to the price of a single bar. The scent and colour catalogue lists usage rates and flags the fragrances that accelerate, rice or discolour, which is the difference between a smooth pour and a ruined afternoon. There is an ingredient label builder that produces a declaration in either of the two accepted conventions, ranked by weight and ready to copy. An offline guide covers working with lye safely, reading trace, what curing actually does, and the fixes for a batch that has gone wrong. CandySuds runs entirely on your device with no account, no adverts and no network access, so your formulas stay yours.
