MarsDawn: Markdown Editor

Live preview, diagrams & PDF

Free · In‑App Purchases

Read the Markdown your agent wrote, on iPhone and iPad. Mermaid diagrams, math and code, rendered and easy to scan. Free to try for 14 days. A Markdown reader for iPhone and iPad. Read what your agent wrote. MarsDawn opens the Markdown files your AI agent writes — READMEs, specs, design notes — and shows them the way they are meant to be read. What it is on iPhone and iPad • A reader. Open a Markdown or text file with the in-app file picker and see it rendered. Editing stays on the Mac for now. • No account, no sync and no cloud of its own. Files stay where they are. Rendered, not raw • Mermaid flowcharts, sequence diagrams and more, drawn right on the page. • KaTeX math, highlighted code blocks, tables, task lists, block quotes and images next to the document. • Front matter tucked into a small "Document info" panel. Find your way around • An outline of every heading. Tap one to jump there. • Recent documents, one tap away. Made for every size • When the screen is wide enough, such as on iPad or an unfolded iPhone Duo, the outline and the page sit side by side. • On iPhone, the outline opens as a sheet. Four preview themes • Dawn, Classic, Modern and Vivid, each in light and dark. Follow the system or choose one. One purchase for Mac, iPhone and iPad • Downloading is free. The first time you open a document, you can start a 14-day free trial. • After 14 days, reading documents in MarsDawn needs a one-time unlock. The same trial and the same unlock cover MarsDawn on your Mac. • No subscription. The trial doesn't renew or charge you. Your files never change, and other apps can still open them. • English, Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French and Spanish. • No tracking. A new dawn for Markdown.

- Reads more HackMD and GitHub syntax: ==highlight==, ^superscript^, ~subscript~, a [TOC] table of contents, and callouts such as > [!NOTE] and :::info. A single ~x~ used to be strikethrough and is now subscript; use ~~x~~ for strikethrough. - Japanese text uses Japanese fonts, collapsible blocks with blank lines inside stay in one piece, and a Mermaid diagram that doesn't parse shows the error with its line number.
