Compost Kings

Cozy worm farm & idle game

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Your neighbours need compost and the County Fair opens every weekend. Feed, merge and collect at your own pace. No account, no sign-in, works offline. Compost Kings is a cozy worm farm you can play in a minute or settle into for an hour. Drag kitchen scraps into your bins and let the worms do what worms do. Keep the greens and browns balanced and a bin turns Happy, doubling what it makes. Drag two worms of the same kind together and they merge into something fancier, from the humble Earthworm all the way up to the legendary Giant Gippsland. YOUR NEIGHBOURS ARE COUNTING ON YOU Grandpa Moss wants castings for his tomatoes. Chef Basil has more kitchen scraps than he knows what to do with. Ms. Petal's class would love to see a nightcrawler, and Juniper just wants to see something rare. Fill their orders and they'll become friends — five hearts each, with a gift at every one. THE COUNTY FAIR, EVERY WEEKEND Mayor Thistle runs three contests: enter your finest worm, race to harvest the most castings in five minutes, or keep a bin Happy longer than you ever have. Win yellow, red and blue ribbons, earn titles, and take all three blues for the prize rosette. Titles climb all the way to Compost King, Queen or Monarch — your choice. A FARM THAT KEEPS GOING Auto-Feeders keep your bins eating while you're away, and your worms carry on composting after you close the app. Hand-fed scraps are worth more, so tapping is a bonus, never a chore. THINGS TO COLLECT Five worm tiers to merge, eight wild species that wander into Happy bins (including the very rare Oregon Giant), four mutations, seasonal scraps that only appear in their months — pumpkins in October, pine needles in December — and ten hats for dressing up your worms. The Codex keeps track of all 37. THE GREAT MIGRATION When you've harvested enough, send your worms off to start a new farm and keep Golden Cocoons that make every future bin more productive. PLAYS AT YOUR PACE No account and no sign-in — open it and you're farming. Everything is drawn and every sound is generated inside the app, so it's small and it works offline. If motion bothers you, switch on Reduce Motion in iOS Settings and the farm holds still — the worms stop wandering and nothing pulses or blinks, without the game hiding anything from you. Made by one person and a lot of worms.

AN EVEN SPLIT OF SCRAPS Greens and browns now turn up in equal numbers. The tray used to lean green, and because a full tray stops new scraps arriving, a bin that wanted browns could be left with no way to get any — so you fed it something you knew was wrong. That doesn't happen now. Seasonal scraps are just as common as before; they simply stand in for their own kind instead of tipping the balance. YOUR GEMS, WHERE YOU CAN SEE THEM The gem count no longer disappears from the top bar when things get crowded, and the Shop shows what you have next to what things cost. A SMALL THING The coin on the Sell button is drawn like everything else in the game now, instead of borrowed from the system.
