Sovereign Vault is a local-only, offline-first vault for your most
sensitive documents and credentials — built on the principle that the
safest place for your data is a place nothing else can reach.
Every vault is protected by dual-custody encryption: a 4-word passphrase
for daily unlock, and an independent master password for recovery.
Neither is ever stored, transmitted, or recoverable by anyone but you —
not even us. Your data is encrypted with AES-256-GCM, with keys derived
using the memory-hard Argon2id function, the same class of protection
used by password managers and encrypted wallets.
FEATURES
• 100% offline — Sovereign Vault makes no network connections of any
kind. No account, no cloud sync, no tracking, no analytics.
• Dual-custody unlock — a 4-word passphrase (drawn from the standard
2,048-word BIP-39 wordlist) for everyday access, plus a separate
master password for recovery if you ever forget it.
• Escalating lockout protection — repeated failed unlock attempts
trigger increasing lockout periods, protecting your vault against
brute-force attempts on this device.
• Sealed export — package a vault into a single encrypted file,
protected by its own passphrase, to move between your own devices or
share deliberately with someone else. The file is useless without a
separately-shared passphrase.
• Portable — your encrypted vault data can travel with you on a USB
drive; it stays unreadable on any computer except the one it was
created on.
IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ BEFORE USE
Sovereign Vault has no password reset. Because your passphrase and
master password are never stored anywhere but derived in memory at the
moment you use them, no one — including us — can recover your vault if
you lose both. This is a deliberate security design, not a limitation:
it is what keeps your data safe from anyone but you. Please store both
credentials somewhere safe before you rely on this app.
