Make room for a pause. A warm animated ball fills your screen when it is time to step away, with simple break settings and a quiet home in your menu bar. A little space in your workday. Orbit is a simple Mac menu bar app that reminds you to take a break. When your work interval is up, a warm coral ball grows across your connected displays, followed by a breathing cue and a short countdown. SET YOUR OWN RHYTHM Choose a reminder after 25, 50, or 90 minutes of active work. Take a 30-second, 60-second, or two-minute break. Your settings stay on your Mac between launches. MAKE ROOM FOR A PAUSE Keep an eye on the next reminder from your menu bar. Preview the animation whenever you like, start a break immediately, or pause reminders. Need a little more time? Press Escape during a reminder to snooze for five active minutes. TIME THAT ACCOUNTS FOR TIME AWAY Orbit pauses its work timer after one minute without keyboard or mouse input. Five minutes away, display sleep, or system sleep starts a fresh work cycle. Reading without input also pauses the timer after one minute. SIMPLE AND LOCAL No account, ads, subscriptions, or third-party analytics. Orbit works offline and uses only the elapsed time since the last input event to estimate activity. It does not record what you type or capture your screen. Open Orbit to begin your work timer. Close its settings window and it stays in the menu bar, ready for your next pause.
