The ice floe broke away overnight, and the shore no longer exists. All that remains is what remains underfoot, and it's melting.
There's no health bar here. How much you have left is shown by the area of ice on the screen, and it shrinks with each passing day. This is the only indicator you'll be given.
A day—and one truly meaningful choice. Melt the ice for water, descend to the edge and fish, burn fuel for warmth, or simply wait it out, conserving your strength. You can move your camp, but that costs you warmth.
The main cruelty is that there's only one fresh water here—the ice floe itself. Every sip takes thickness from right under your camp, and you can only carve water from a truly thick slab. Drinking means wasting your support.
The necessary places are at different ends of the ice floe. The pale, thick ice provides water. The edge provides food. The center provides time. You can't be everywhere at once, and the entire drift is a choice of what to sacrifice today.
From time to time, the ice prepares to break. The line lights up in advance, then splits, and everything not connected to the camp is thrown into the sea forever. You've been warned—the rest is up to you.
There are different scenarios, each with its own record: strong ice and meager supplies, a large ice floe and heavy sleds, warm water that makes everything go very quickly.
The game is turn-based: you can think as much as you like, no one rushes you.
