AirSnoopGuard helps reduce casual viewing of your Mac screen when you turn your head away. Connect compatible AirPods, face your screen to set the center, and a frosted overlay extends as you turn left or right. Face the screen again and the overlay recedes. CONTROL FROM THE MENU BAR View the current angle, center your position, and pause or resume protection in one panel. Expand More Settings to adjust sensitivity, opacity, and appearance. Use Control–Option–Command–G to open the panel and Control–Option–Command–C to center your position. OPTIONAL BUILT-IN CAMERA Camera fallback is off by default. When enabled, it starts after about two seconds without valid AirPods motion, and stops when AirPods motion returns. Choose what happens when no face is detected: cover after three seconds, cover immediately, or keep the current view. LOCAL PROCESSING Head motion and camera frames are processed on your Mac. The app does not record or upload them, use a microphone, or include advertising or analytics SDKs. Preferences are saved locally. No account is required. Core headphone-based protection is free. Camera Fallback is available as a one-time in-app purchase, or included with the one-time Pro purchase. Existing users with legacy camera access retain it. No subscriptions. REQUIREMENTS The app requires macOS 13 or later. AirPods motion requires macOS 14 or later and headphones that provide supported head-motion data. Camera fallback requires a built-in Mac camera; external webcams and iPhone Continuity Camera are not used. A 10-second preview lets you view the overlay without sensor hardware. PROTECTION LIMITS AirSnoopGuard provides a visual overlay, not macOS authentication or a system lock. A partial or translucent overlay may leave content visible. Hardware motion can drift; face the screen and center again if needed. Headphone reconnection and the optional recovery tone cannot guarantee motion recovery.
