Open a PDF, EPUB or text file and read it word by word at a speed you choose. No account, no ads while you read, and your books never leave your device. Read Fast shows your book one word at a time, so your eyes stop travelling across the page and your reading speed stops being limited by how fast you can move them. Open a PDF, EPUB or plain text file and start reading. WHAT IT DOES • One word at a time, at a speed you set. The word you're on stays in the centre of the screen while the surrounding text scrolls behind it, so you never lose the thread of the sentence. • Your place in the text, always visible. A highlighted band shows the line you're on, with the next lines below it — so you can see where you are in the paragraph, not just which word is showing. • Reads PDF, EPUB and TXT. Add a file from your device and it's yours to read. • Remembers where you stopped. Every book reopens on the word you left, even if the app was closed in the background. • Notes as you read. Write your own, or add the sentence you're reading with one tap, then the next. Every note is in the Notes tab, and it stays there even if you delete the book. • Move at your own pace. Tap the sides to step a word at a time, hold to scan, drag the sliders to move within a page or across the whole book, or jump straight to a page number. • Light and dark, and it follows your system theme if you'd rather not choose. • Reading works entirely offline. No account, no sign-up, no tracking, and never an ad while you read. Your books stay on your device and are never uploaded anywhere. BASIC AND PREMIUM Basic is free and lets you read one book at a fixed 200 words per minute. Premium removes both limits: an unlimited library, and any reading speed between 50 and 1000 words per minute. It's available as a monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID, and a subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can cancel any time in your Apple ID settings. Want to try Premium without paying? Watch one short video and it unlocks for 3 hours. The video is entirely optional — it only ever plays when you ask for it, and there are no ads anywhere else in the app. A NOTE ON PDFs Read Fast reads the text layer inside a PDF. Scanned documents and image-only PDFs have no text to extract, so they can't be read — and some PDFs with unusual internal layouts extract imperfectly. Plain text and EPUB are the most reliable formats.
