Mac
Headphones for you, the living room speaker for everyone else. Pick two outputs, press one button, and your Mac plays through both.
Auduo plays your Mac through two audio outputs at the same time.
Headphones for you, the living room speaker for everyone else. AirPods and a USB DAC. The kitchen Bluetooth speaker and the built-in ones. Pick two outputs, press one button, and both play — Spotify, YouTube, Safari, games, notification sounds, all of it.
macOS can already do this. It just makes you work for it: open Audio MIDI Setup, build a Multi-Output Device, switch your system output over to it, then remember to switch it back. Auduo is that, without the ceremony, from the menu bar.
THE ANNOYING PARTS, HANDLED
• Any output Core Audio can see — Bluetooth, USB, HDMI, AirPlay, virtual devices.
• Sample rates. Two devices rarely agree on one. Auduo picks a rate both accept, and says so plainly when there isn't one.
• Clock drift. A Bluetooth speaker runs on its own clock and slowly slides out of step. Auduo turns on drift compensation for the device that needs it.
• Volume. One master slider plus a slider per output, because a laptop speaker and a big Bluetooth speaker are never loud in the same way.
• Cleanup. Press Stop and your previous output comes back on its own. Nothing is left behind in Audio MIDI Setup.
• Reconnecting. When an output drops out and returns, Auduo rebuilds the group.
FREE
Two outputs at once, per-device and master volume, the estimated delay between them, and one saved setup.
AUDUO PRO
An optional one-time purchase, never a subscription:
• Three or more outputs at once
• Unlimited saved setups
• Auto Connect — a saved setup starts by itself once all of its outputs are back
WHAT AUDUO DOES NOT DO
Bluetooth devices each have their own hardware delay, often 100 to 250 ms. Auduo stops two outputs drifting further apart, but it does not yet align their absolute delay, and it does not pretend to. The delay it can estimate is shown and labelled as an estimate.
PRIVACY
Auduo does not record, store or transmit audio. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no network code of any kind. Your settings stay on your Mac.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal: Apple silicon and Intel.
