Nothing gets deleted automatically. DiskWise shows you what is using your space and lets you choose — every removal goes to the Trash and can be undone. DiskWise is a disk cleaner that shows you the picture first. It won't "optimise" your Mac behind your back or claim you have hundreds of gigabytes of junk. It lays out where your storage actually went, and you decide what goes. How it differs from other cleaners · Nothing is deleted automatically. Every page is a list you read, tick and act on. There is no one-click "optimise" button whose effects you can't inspect. · Trash only. Removals move items to the system Trash, and you can undo them one by one inside the app. Emptying the Trash is a separate action performed by Finder, with your permission. · Protected paths. Critical system locations, apps in use and your photo library are flagged so they can't be swept up in bulk. What it finds · Overview: a ring gauge for disk usage, with the biggest folders ranked below it. · Large Files: the biggest files in your user directory, with a size threshold you set. · Long Untouched: files you haven't modified in a long time — usually the safest to drop. · Duplicates: grouped by content hash, keeping the oldest copy of each group by default. · Caches: a built-in knowledge base of common caches (browsers, dev tools, design apps), each entry explaining what it is and what happens if you clear it. · Leftovers: preference and cache files orphaned by apps you already uninstalled. · node_modules: every frontend project's dependency folder in one list — delete it, run npm install later. · Docker Usage: read-only view of image, container and volume sizes. It never runs Docker commands for you. · Trash: how much has piled up there, and a hand-off to Finder when you want it gone. Also · Bilingual interface (Chinese / English), light and dark, six skins. · Fully offline: no network access, no accounts, no analytics, no crash reporting, nothing uploaded. · The Mac App Store build runs inside the macOS sandbox. On first launch you grant it one folder to scan (usually your home folder). It reads directory metadata only, and you can revoke the grant in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Something broken?
