Keep your Mac awake while coding agents work. Runlantern lives in the menu bar and manages keep-awake sessions around your workflow. Start a session yourself, choose a timer, or let watched coding-agent processes trigger guarding automatically. • Keep your Mac from idle sleep, with an optional display-awake setting. • Choose a custom duration, an unlimited session, or an agent-based session. • Use process-tree activity and configurable quiet and grace periods to return to normal power settings after guarding ends. • Stay in control: switching guarding off pauses automatic starts, including after an app restart, until you explicitly resume. An enabled Activate on launch setting is an explicit exception. • Use battery and thermal protections and an optional session limit. Critical thermal pressure always ends the guarding session. • Receive optional notifications when agents exit or become idle, or when a protection ends a session. • See a clear error and retry if a power request fails. If stopping cannot be confirmed, Runlantern tells you instead of claiming that normal power settings have been restored. Agent activity is estimated from process identity and CPU counters. It does not determine whether an AI task has truly completed, and detection can vary with the way a tool is installed or run. This App Store version prevents idle sleep. Closing the lid or explicitly requesting sleep follows macOS behavior; it does not provide active closed-lid guarding. The app works locally and requires no account. Notification permission is optional. English and Simplified Chinese interfaces.
