A calm library for photos, videos and files. Organize albums, preview media and keep your originals.
Your library, on your device.
Elsewhere brings your photos, videos and files into a calm, on-device library. Add the items you choose, organize them into albums, and open them without a separate Elsewhere account.
BRING YOUR FILES TOGETHER
Add selected photos and videos, import from Files, take a photo or scan a document. Imports create a copy in Elsewhere. Your originals remain in Photos or Files.
MAKE ROOM FOR YOUR COLLECTIONS
Create albums, rename items and find them by name. Photo and video thumbnails make browsing easier, with duration labels for videos. Open photos and videos directly from the grid, then swipe back to your library.
A QUIETER EVERYDAY EXPERIENCE
Choose light or dark mode, adjust haptics and interface sounds, and play the ambient audio on the home screen. Each library has its own entry gesture and content; you can optionally set up a second library during onboarding.
YOUR FILES REMAIN YOURS
Importing, browsing, organizing and exporting do not require a purchase. Export original files using the system share sheet, or restore items from Recently Deleted. Elsewhere does not upload your media or provide cloud sync. Keep a separate export of important files: a recovery code only works with the library data still on this device. It cannot restore files after the app or its data is removed, or if the device is lost.
FREE LIBRARY
All library features are free. This version does not display advertisements or offer new in-app purchases.
