Every wallpaper and icon is drawn on your device — a tiny app with no ads, no tracking, no accounts, and nothing locked behind a subscription.
Duo Themes lets you design your own home and lock screen: widgets you build yourself, wallpapers that match them, and icons in the same palette.
WIDGETS YOU DESIGN
Pick one of eight widget types, then set the palette, background, typeface and corner radius until it looks right:
• Digital clock — large, legible hours and minutes
• Analog clock — a face drawn in code, crisp at any size
• Date card — weekday, day and month on one tile
• Battery — a ring showing your device's charge
• Countdown — days left until a date you choose
• Note — one line you want to see every day
• Photo frame — your picture in a matching frame
• Month calendar — the whole month, today highlighted
Save as many designs as you like. On the home screen, touch and hold a widget, choose Edit Widget, and switch designs without reopening the app.
ON THE LOCK SCREEN
Every design also works in all three Lock Screen slots: the circular slot below the clock, the rectangular slot above it, and the inline slot beside the date. Each one is a layout built for its size rather than a shrunken Home Screen widget — iOS draws Lock Screen widgets in monochrome, where a scaled-down design simply stops reading. The editor previews all three before you commit.
WALLPAPERS
96 wallpapers from 8 generative styles across 12 palettes. Filter by style or colour, preview each one behind a mock lock screen to check the clock stays readable, shuffle for a new layout, then save to Photos at your device's exact resolution.
ICON STUDIO
Build a square icon from a palette, a symbol and one of four background styles. Save it to Photos, then follow the four-step guide in the app to apply it through Apple's Shortcuts app.
NO BUNDLED ARTWORK
Apart from its own app icon, Duo Themes ships no image files. Each wallpaper is a recipe — a style, a palette and a seed — that the app draws on your device when you ask for it. The download stays small, nothing is fetched from a server, and no third-party artwork is involved.
PRIVACY
No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no network calls. The app asks for permission to add images to your photo library, and uses it only when you tap save.
FREE
Every feature is free. No subscription, no unlocks, no cap on how much you can save.
WHAT iOS DOESN'T ALLOW
No app — including this one — can change another app's icon directly. Duo Themes creates the icon image and shows you how to apply it through Shortcuts, which is the route Apple supports. Widgets also don't run continuously, so they can't tick seconds in real time.
