LoopSong is a live looper built around songs, not just loops.
Most loopers give you a stack of loops and leave the song structure to you. LoopSong has song parts built in. Record a verse, switch to the chorus and record that, and jump between them on the bar. Global tracks such as drums keep playing through every part. Fill loops fire on the transition, so a drum fill or riser lands exactly on the switch.
EVERYTHING LINES UP
Every track scrolls under one fixed cursor on a shared bar grid. A two-bar bass loop under an eight-bar guitar loop is obvious at a glance, and you always see what is coming rather than what has passed.
NO TAP TEMPO
Play the first loop and LoopSong finds the tempo and bar length from what you played. Later tracks snap to bar-aligned lengths: half, double, or any whole number of bars. Set a time signature if you want, or let the app infer it.
SONG PARTS
- Unlimited parts, each with its own set of loops.
- Switch on the next bar or right away, from the screen or a footswitch.
- Global tracks play through every part. Per-part mute for each track.
- Queue a record or overdub in one part and it follows you into the next.
FILLS AND ONE-SHOTS
- A one-shot plays through once and stops.
- Fire it by hand, or arm it to fire on a part transition so it ends exactly on the switch.
- A one-shot can silence other tracks while it plays, so a fill can replace the drums.
OVERDUBS AS LAYERS
- Each overdub is its own layer with its own mute and volume.
- Undo and redo the last dub, or mute it from a footswitch.
- Punch in and out freely; the loop length never changes.
TIMING
- Sample-accurate loop boundaries and seamless first-loop close.
- First-hit snap: start the loop on your first note, not on the button press.
- Learns the latency of each controller, including Bluetooth footswitches.
- Sends MIDI clock as soon as the first loop closes, or follows an external clock.
ROUTING AND MIDI
- Multichannel audio interfaces: record from any input, send each track to any output.
- MIDI tracks with a piano roll and non-destructive quantize.
- Host Audio Unit instruments and effects.
- MIDI learn for every control, over USB or Bluetooth MIDI.
SESSIONS
Save and load whole songs with every loop, dub, and setting. Everything stays on your iPad. No account, no analytics, no network.
LoopSong works with the built-in microphone and with any Core Audio interface or USB-connected modeler.

The free version runs two track lanes and two song parts, with overdubs unlimited. Everything else is here: tempo detection from your first loop, global tracks, one-shots and transition fills, MIDI control and footswitches, calibration, and the full audio path at full quality.
Unlocking lifts the track and part limits and lets you save to the session library, with folders, tags and setlists. One payment, on every iPad signed in to your Apple Account.
There is also a 14-day trial that unlocks everything. It starts when you ask for it, not when you downloaded the app, and when it ends LoopSong keeps working at the free limits rather than locking. Anything you saved during the trial still opens and plays.
If you bought LoopSong before this update, it stays unlocked. You will not be asked to pay again.
