Sonir Remote
Room EQ for Sonir Bench
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Measure your room with your phone and send the correction to Sonir Bench.
Sonir Remote measures your listening position and sends a room correction to Sonir Bench.
Bench plays the sweep through your own system. The phone records it, turns it into a frequency response and an automatic PEQ, and sends back only the filter settings. The recording never leaves the phone.
How it works
- Connect: pick your Sonir Bench from the list of Benches on the same network. Next time it reconnects on its own. If it does not appear, scan the QR code Bench shows.
- Microphone: choose the input and load a calibration file (UMIK, REW, FRD). Optional.
- Level: play a test tone and set your amplifier so the input sits between -12 and -6 dBFS.
- Measure: Bench plays the sweep and the phone records it. Add positions to average them.
- EQ: choose a target curve (Flat, Tilt, Harman, B&K) and a limit, and send the automatic PEQ to Bench.
Measure through the current correction to compare your room before and after.
Library
Save measurements on the phone and open them again: RT60, EDT, C50, D50, frequency response, ETC, decay and excess group delay. Select two or more to overlay and compare.
Requirements
- Sonir Bench on a Mac, on the same local network.
- The built-in microphone works. A calibrated measurement microphone is recommended.
