One small step when you can't start. Speak or type the mess, get a 2-minute action and a quiet timer. Free forever; Pro adds unlimited AI steps and Sunday reflections. Starting is the hard part. Not planning. Not organising. Not finding the perfect system. Just beginning — when the task is clear, the time is there, and somehow you still can't move. start/ish is built for that moment. SAY IT, DON'T SORT IT Type or speak whatever's on your mind. Messy is fine. No categories, no priorities, no setup. Speech is transcribed on your device. GET ONE SMALL STEP start/ish reads what you wrote and gives back a single concrete action you can begin in two minutes. Not a plan. Not a list. One step, small enough to actually start. TWO MINUTES IS ENOUGH A timer, then an honest question: did you keep going, make a dent, get set up, or do you need something smaller? Every answer is a real answer. Nothing here tells you you're behind. A REFLECTION, READ ALOUD (PRO) Every Sunday, start/ish looks back at the week you actually had and writes a short reflection — grounded in your real starts, never invented. Then it reads it to you, in whichever of ten voices you choose, in the tone you've set. It's the one part of the app that asks nothing of you. LEARNS YOUR REAL TIMING Time Mirror notices the gap between when you plan to start and when you actually do, and quietly offers to adjust — only when there's a pattern worth adjusting for. ALSO IN THE APP • Park a distracting thought without losing it • Bring your existing Apple Reminders in • See your own patterns — when you move, which days carry you • A technique each week, with the research behind it • Turn a screenshot into tasks (Pro) • A Lock Screen Live Activity while a start is running • A home screen widget showing your momentum • Reminders in your tone: gentle, encouraging, or direct • Nudges before a task's start window, not just at it • Siri and Shortcuts: "start my two minutes" • Calm or Playful — the whole app changes voice • Genmoji check-ins and a generated profile picture, on supported devices YOUR WORK STAYS YOURS What you write lives on your device. No feed, no streaks to break, no social pressure, no ads. FREE AND PRO The app is free and unlimited — add tasks, start them, time them, finish them, as often as you like. Free accounts get three AI-generated suggestions each week. Pro removes that limit and adds the weekly spoken reflection, the technique library, screenshot capture, full insights history and more. start/ish Pro is $9.99/month or $59.99/year with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
