The week strip shows what you did, never what you didn't. MESSAGES THAT ACTUALLY ARRIVE Tell it when you usually train and your buddy texts before and after, as notifications on your phone. One or two a day, your choice, with quiet hours you set. Train on Tuesday and it will not nag you on Wednesday. IT SAYS NOTHING ABOUT WEIGHT UNLESS YOU ASK Your buddy never mentions weight — not your weight, not the scale, not once — unless you switch it on and tell it what you are working towards. Off is the default and off is complete. NO ACCOUNT. NO SERVER. NO ADS. There is nothing to sign up for. Your buddy is written on your device, your Health data never leaves it, and there is no analytics and no advertising anywhere in the app. The only thing that ever talks to a server is the purchase itself. Logging by hand works exactly the same, so saying no to Apple Health costs you nothing. Every buddy speaks English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, Russian and Turkish.
