See it. Drop it. Go there. PlanDrop helps you identify and save restaurants, cafes, hotels, attractions, and other real-world places you discover in videos. HOW IT WORKS 1. Start a capture and choose Share Entire Screen when iOS asks. 2. Watch a place video normally in another app. 3. Press and hold the Dynamic Island, then tap Drop this Reel. 4. Review the on-device result and confirm the correct place. 5. Save it privately for later. PRIVACY BY DESIGN • Place identification runs on your iPhone using Apple’s on-device Foundation Model and Vision. • Recent captured frames are temporary and are deleted after analysis or when you stop and delete the capture. • PlanDrop has no account or advertising SDKs. Firebase Analytics records app interactions and diagnostics, but never receives captured frames, OCR text, or model evidence. • Screen content is not uploaded for AI analysis. • Apple Maps receives only detected place details when verification is requested. • If you choose Search Google, PlanDrop opens a browser query that you review yourself; PlanDrop does not read or scrape the results. Requires iOS 27 and an Apple Intelligence-capable iPhone with Apple Intelligence enabled. Availability of Apple’s on-device model can vary by device, language, and region.
