Your photo library is full of things you never meant to keep: six tries at the same group shot, screenshots from last spring, a blurred photo of the floor, a video that takes up more room than a hundred pictures. PhotoMuse finds them, shows you exactly how much space each pile is taking, and lets you decide — fast.
Everything happens on your iPhone or iPad. No account. No tracking. Your photos never leave your device.
SORTS THE CLUTTER INTO PILES
• Similar shots and exact duplicates, grouped, with a suggested keeper
• Bad shots: blurred, too dark, or a finger over the lens
• Screenshots and screen recordings
• Large videos, grouped by size — a handful of files is usually most of the space
• Live Photos, and everything else, month by month
Every size is read from your library byte for byte. Not estimated.
KEEPS UP BY ITSELF
Add or delete photos and PhotoMuse looks only at what changed, so the piles are current again in seconds, not minutes, and the choices you made in a pile stay as you left them. The first look at a big library takes a while: if you leave before it is done, it carries on the next time your iPhone or iPad is charging and not in use. On a large library, a fresh check can be set for tonight instead of now.
SWIPE TO SORT A WHOLE MONTH
Left to delete, right to keep. Swiping only marks — nothing is deleted until you finish and confirm. Undo goes back as far as you like, and your place is saved, so a long month can be done over several days.
SEARCH BY WHAT IS IN THE PHOTO
Type cat, beach or tennis and see the photos and videos that contain it. The reading is done on your device.
ENHANCE THE KEEPERS
Auto sets light and colour for the photo in front of you, and every dial can be moved by hand. Rebuild detail sharpens fine detail and clears compression noise. Save a copy, or replace the original — Photos keeps the untouched one, so Revert always works. Enhanced photos keep their format: an HEIC is never quietly turned into a JPEG twice the size.
COMPRESS VIDEOS — ONLY WHEN IT HELPS
Re-encoding an efficient video makes it bigger. PhotoMuse checks first and lists only the videos that will really shrink, each with its own estimate, then shows you the real saving. HDR stays HDR.
HONEST ABOUT WHAT FREES SPACE
Deleting in any app only moves photos to Recently Deleted, where they still take up room for 30 days. PhotoMuse tells you so and takes you to Photos to finish the job. And for those 30 days, anything you deleted can be recovered.

I’ve really been enjoying PhotoMuse and ended up getting the paid version after trying it. My photo library had become completely overloaded with duplicate pictures, similar shots, old screenshots, blurry photos, and large videos had forgotten about. The app organizes everything into clear groups, so cleaning my phone feels much easier than manually scrolling through thousands of pictures. What surprised me most was how much storage was able to recover. There were so many pictures that looked almost identical, and PhotoMuse helped me compare them and decide which one was actually worth keeping. It also pointed out large videos that were using a surprising amount of space. After going through everything, I freed up a ton of storage without deleting the photos I genuinely wanted.I also appreciate that the app doesn't immediately erase something just because I swipe or select it. I still get a chance to review my choices and confirm everything, which makes the process feel much safer. The paid version is especially useful because can clean larger groups instead of handling every item individually.Overall, this has become one of the most useful apps on my phone. It makes an annoying job much faster, keeps my photo library from becoming a disaster, and helps me avoid paying for additional storage quite as quickly. If you take lots of pictures and constantly run low on space, PhotoMuse is definitely worth trying.
Finally Helped Me Clean Up My Photo Mess

My camera roll was honestly a complete mess before I tried this app. I had tons of duplicate pictures, screenshots I didn’t need anymore, blurry photos, and like ten versions of the same picture because I always take a bunch at once. PhotoMuse sorted everything into different groups, which made cleaning it up feel way less overwhelming.I really like that it suggests which photo to keep, but it still lets me make the final choice. You can swipe through your pictures, mark what you want to keep or delete, and nothing actually gets deleted until you confirm it. That made me feel safer because I was worried about accidentally losing a picture I cared about. Being able to undo my choices is also really helpful. The search feature is pretty cool too. I can type something like “cat,” “beach,” or “tennis” and find matching pictures without scrolling forever. It also shows large videos that are using a lot of storage, which surprised me because a few random videos were taking up way more space than I realized. The app is simple to understand, and I like that the photo checking happens on the device instead of uploading my whole camera roll somewhere. It can take some time to check a really large library, but once everything is organized, going through it is actually kind of satisfying. If your camera roll is full of random screenshots, duplicates, and bad pictures like mine was, this app makes the cleanup much easier.
A small fix for smaller iPhones.
• The intro now fits every screen. On some iPhones, such as the iPhone 13, part of its text was cut off. All of it shows now.
