Every camera app on iPhone assumes you want the microphone, but if you are playing into a music app through an audio interface, that is exactly backwards! The real sound is already inside the DAW, and the camera insists on recording the room instead: your speakers, the traffic outside, the fan. AUv3Video films you while the sound comes straight from your music app's master bus. Not a re-recording of your speakers. The actual mix — your instrument, your voice, your reverb, your compression — landing in the video exactly as it sounds in your headphones, even if you don't have an external mixer on hand! HOW IT WORKS AUv3Video installs an audio plugin alongside the app. In your music app, you add "JJIR: AUv3Video" as an insert effect on the master bus. That is the whole setup. The plugin is a pure passthrough. Audio going in comes out bit for bit identical, so inserting it cannot alter your mix, shift your levels, or colour your sound. Its only job is to hand a copy of each block of audio to the camera, with no file in between and nothing re-encoded. It works in any app that allows AUv3 plugins on the master bus, like Logic Pro or Cubasis. In GarageBand it goes on a track: feed that track from an external mixer and it records your whole mix. THE MICROPHONE IS NEVER USED Not "off by default". Not a switch you might flip by accident. The app ships with no microphone permission in it at all, so iOS itself will not let it open the microphone even if it tried. The guarantee is enforced by the operating system, not by our good intentions. Your microphone stays plugged into your music app, where it belongs. LYRICS AND CHORDS ON THE SCREEN Paste a song, or import a txt file, and it sits over the picture while you play. Simple chord sheets (notes above text) keep their shape. The words are shown in a fixed-width font and are never re-wrapped, so each chord stays above the exact syllable it was written over, no post editing required. Leave it still, which is the default, or let it scroll at a speed you choose and tap to pause. Either way you read from the screen that is filming you, so your eyes stay near the lens instead of drifting to a music stand. GO LIVE Broadcast live to YouTube, Facebook, or any service that accepts an RTMP address, while you record locally at the same time. IT TELLS YOU WHETHER THE TAKE WAS CLEAN When you stop, the app reports what actually happened: how many frames were captured, whether any were dropped, and whether any audio went missing. Silence means the take was perfect. You find out while you can still play it again — not tomorrow on a laptop, when the event is over. NOTHING TO CONFIGURE 1080p at 30 frames per second, and no settings, deliberately. A bigger picture makes the video encoder compete with your music app for processor time, and one click in the audio costs far more than a smoother image is ever worth. The orientation locks the moment you press record, so a take cannot change shape halfway through. NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION One purchase, once, and it is yours. Recordings go to your own photo library and never leave your device — there is no server behind this app and no upload path inside it. Only a problem report you choose to email us ever leaves it.
