Today's prompt: photograph something that has clearly given up. Kipple turns what you find on the walk into a sticker and files it in a cabinet with the date.
Kipple is a collecting game for people who notice things.
Every day it gives you one prompt. Photograph something that has clearly given up. Photograph something held together with tape. Photograph something that should not be on a roof. Then you go out and look.
When you find it, you photograph it. Kipple cuts it out into a sticker, has a go at working out what it is, and writes it a small card, the sort you'd read next to an exhibit in a county museum. The sticker goes into your cabinet with the date and the place. The cabinet fills up. That is the whole thing.
FOURTEEN WAYS OF LOOKING
Goblin Core. Y2K. Corporate Hell. Passive Aggressive. Blueprint. Duck Energy. VHS Horror. Held Together. Feral Furniture. Nan's House. Not From Here. Getting On With It. Probably Nothing. Hang On.
Each theme is twelve prompts. Three finds in, it becomes a sticker pack you can send in WhatsApp, and it grows with every one after.
SCAN WHATEVER YOU LIKE
You don't have to wait for the prompt. Point Kipple at anything: a bollard, a Toby jug, a sofa somebody has left by a river, a canoe that has ended up in a tree. It identifies it and files it. It is usually right. It is occasionally very wrong, which is better.
THE EXCHANGE
Every find earns XP. Spend it at the Exchange on stickers you haven't found yet, ninety-six of them, sorted by theme. XP only, no cash. Nobody needs a frog in a bucket. You will swap for the frog in a bucket.
WHAT KIPPLE DOES NOT HAVE
No account. No password. No feed, no followers, no likes, no numbers going up next to a stranger's face. Your collection lives on your phone and nowhere else. The only way anything leaves is if you send it to somebody yourself.
FREE, AND NOT FREE
Kipple is free. The daily prompt is always free and never counts against anything, plus three scans a day of whatever else you find.
Every theme opens as you play. Kipple Everything opens all fourteen straight away and removes the daily limit. One payment for life, or a year with the first week free. Prices are shown in the app before you're asked for anything.
Made for iPhone. Needs a camera, because it needs you to go and look at something.
The yearly subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm. If you take the free week, any unused part of it ends when you subscribe. Manage or cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.
