BATTLINGUAL is an English-learning quiz game built for Japanese speakers. You and an opponent answer the same questions at the same time, from simple junior-high English up to the phrases you need in meetings, client calls, interviews and business trips.
Note: the app's interface and question prompts are in Japanese.
■ 100-second English battles
Answer fast and accurately to score. Chain correct answers for combo bonuses. A wrong answer locks you out for 2 seconds, so guessing doesn't win. You can skip any question. No audio or headphones required.
■ From everyday English to business English
Start with short, simple sentences: greetings, thanks, asking someone to repeat, shopping, directions. As your rank rises, the questions move to meetings, clients, interviews, and hosting overseas visitors. Pick a goal and you'll see more of the phrases that goal needs. 850+ questions, with more added every month.
■ Four question types

Questions you miss or skip go into your review box, then return after 1, 3, 7 and 14 days until you've mastered them. Reviews use the same formats as battles and take a few minutes.

Climb from Bronze to Master. Win ranked matches to raise your progress; reach 100% to get promoted. Every week, compete within your rank for coins and limited avatars.

Create a room with a 4-letter code and battle the person next to you. Add friends to send invites and compare weekly points.

Unlimited practice against the computer, even offline.

Free to play, no ads. Ranked matches are limited to 3 per day (refills at 5:00 a.m. JST). Practice, friend battles and reviews are free and unlimited.
BATTLINGUAL PRO (monthly or yearly, with a 7-day free trial): unlimited ranked matches, full battle history, 500 coins every month, unlimited review box with automatic weak-point drills.
