Now in English: prayer times with the adhan, the whole Quran with the meanings of Saheeh International, and Hisn al-Muslim. Free, with no account and no ads.
Sunnati brings the Quran, prayer times and the adhan, morning and evening adhkar, Hisn al-Muslim, the qibla and the daily Sunnahs together in one app. It works on your device without internet, and it is free, with no ads, no account and no tracking.
■ Prayer times and the adhan
Prayer times for where you are, day by day. In Kuwait they come from the Al-Ojeiri calendar as it is printed, and everywhere else they are calculated on your device by the method you choose, among them Umm al-Qura, the Muslim World League, ISNA and Karachi, with Asr by the majority or the Hanafi school. A countdown to the next adhan sits in a mihrab whose sky changes with the hour, and a touch opens that sky across the screen. At prayer time the adhan alert sounds in the voice of the muezzin you choose, and Fajr has its own adhan. Sunrise, midnight, the last third of the night and a monthly timetable are there too, and in Ramadan the countdown is to iftar.
■ The Quran with its meanings in English
The complete Mushaf of Hafs from Asim in the Uthmani script: 604 pages kept on your device to read offline, surah by surah or page by page, as running text or in fifteen lines like the printed Madinah Mushaf. Each verse can show its meaning in English beneath it, from Saheeh International. Recitation follows the text verse by verse in the voices of sixteen reciters, and a surah can be saved to listen offline. There is also a search that understands the Uthmani script and ordinary Arabic spelling alike, Tafsir al-Muyassar and al-Jalalayn in Arabic, a khatmah plan that spreads the Mushaf over your days, and a reading mode in which the page moves by itself.
■ Adhkar and Hisn al-Muslim
Morning and evening adhkar, bedtime adhkar and the adhkar after prayer, and Hisn al-Muslim in full, 132 chapters and 266 adhkar with their meanings in English. Each dhikr shows its count and a ring that fills as you say it, a card shows the adhkar for the time of day, and an electronic tasbih counts for you.
■ Daily Sunnahs and My prayers
104 Sunnahs in 14 groups in the order of the book Al-Minah al-Aliyyah fi Bayan as-Sunan al-Yawmiyyah, from waking up to going to sleep. Mark what you have done and the app keeps your daily wird and your streak of days. In My prayers you record how you prayed each prayer, in congregation, on time or as a make-up, and the prayers you missed are counted for you to make up.
■ Qibla and nearby mosques
A compass that turns with your phone toward the Kaaba, and a map of the nearest mosques with their distance and the way to each.
■ Reminders
Morning and evening adhkar, istighfar, Surat al-Mulk and Ayat al-Kursi before sleep, the Duha prayer and the night prayer, blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) in a reciter's voice, Surat al-Kahf on Friday, and voluntary fasting the night before, each with the sound you choose.
■ Hijri calendar, duas and more
A Hijri calendar with its occasions and the recommended fasting days, with date conversion between Hijri and Gregorian, 433 duas in thirty topics, the ruqyah, twenty hadiths of an-Nawawi's Forty with their meanings in English, the Umrah step by step following the book Dalil al-Mu'tamir, and Quran radio stations.
■ Yours alone
Everything you record stays on your device. Prayer times and the qibla are calculated there, so your location is not sent anywhere for them, and the app needs the internet only for what you ask of it, such as a recitation, the radio, a tafsir or the nearby mosques map. Choose its color and pattern, the eight-pointed star or the Kuwaiti Sadu, the text size and dark mode, and share any verse or dhikr as a beautiful image.
■ In your language
Sunnati speaks English, Arabic, Indonesian, Malay, French, Hausa, Turkish, Russian, Bengali, Urdu and Persian, chosen from the Language card at the top of Settings.
