Koofy Reader is an EPUB ebook reader and TXT text viewer for your own files. Read on your commute, settle into a longer story on a tablet, or listen with your device’s text-to-speech voices.
Monthly Koofy: a moment for a short read
• Discover illustrated stories collected by month.
• Discover newly published stories in Home and browse Books and download the stories you want to read.
• Open Send a story for our reader submission guide.
Build your personal bookshelf
• Import EPUB and TXT files and organize them with covers and book groups.
• Continue from your last reading position and save bookmarks for passages you want to revisit.
• Read imported and downloaded books offline.
Make every page comfortable
• Adjust text size, line spacing, margins and fonts.
• Add your own fonts or download fonts from the in-app collection.
• Choose light, paper or dark themes and use automatic page turning.
• Read on iPhone and iPad, with two-page viewing for larger screens.
Read or listen
• Use text-to-speech, adjust the reading speed and set a sleep timer.
• Speech pauses when you leave the reading screen or the app.
• Select text to translate it and hear its pronunciation.
• Available voices and spoken languages depend on your device’s speech engine. Translation runs on your device after the required language data is downloaded.
Stories in English, Japanese and Korean
• App menus and the getting-started guide are available in all three languages.
• Explore The Mermaid Princess Cuts the Waves with localized text and covers.
• Find downloadable books in your selected app language and choose individual chapters from serialized stories.
• The app initially follows your device language and uses English for unsupported languages. You can change the app language in Settings. Imported books are not automatically translated.
Start without an account
Your books and reading positions stay on your device. Optional usage analytics can be declined without losing reading features. The app includes banner ads and optional rewarded ads. Completing a rewarded ad hides banners for four hours.
Supported formats: TXT and text-based, reflowable EPUB. PDF, fixed-layout EPUB and DRM-protected ebooks are not supported. Downloads, ads and other online features require an internet connection.
