Drop it onto any other photo, then drag to move, scale and rotate it. Add sunglasses, hats, crowns and other props, type a caption in any colour with an outline and shadow, or scribble straight onto the picture. Every layer keeps its own opacity and blend mode, and all of it stays editable; your original file is never touched. RETOUCHING Click a blemish, dust spot, power line or distraction and it is gone. Heal keeps the texture of the area you sample but takes the colour from around the spot, so repairs disappear into skin and sky. Clone copies the sample exactly for hard edges and repeating patterns. Drag either circle to choose exactly what gets sampled. COLOUR MIXER (NEW) Eight colour ranges — red, orange, yellow, green, aqua, blue, purple and magenta — each with its own hue, saturation and luminance. Deepen a sky without touching skin tones, or pull the yellow out of foliage. LOCAL ADJUSTMENTS Change part of a photo instead of all of it. Paint a mask by hand with a soft brush, drag a linear gradient to hold back a bright sky, place a radial mask to lift a face, or let Magic Gallery find the subject for you — Subject and Background masks are detected on your Mac, with no setup. Each mask carries its own exposure, contrast, highlights, shadows, colour, clarity, sharpening and blur, and you can stack as many as you like.
