Sunscreen Timer: SPF Reminder
Models your real UV exposure

Apple Watch
Sunscreen Timer reads the UV index, cloud cover, the sun's angle in relation to you, and how long you've been in daylight, then calculates when it'd be wise to reapply.
Sunscreen wears off faster in open sun than on a grey afternoon, and faster outside than inside. "Every two hours" doesn't know which day you're having. Sunscreen Timer does. Tap the sun when you apply; the countdown follows the UV you're actually getting, clouds and all, and lets you know when it's time to reapply.
HOW IT WORKS
Tap the sun, or tell Siri, each time you put sunscreen on. A tap needs a second tap to confirm, so an accidental touch on your wrist can't reset the timer you're relying on. Then wait — most days it asks once, or twice.
A BUDGET, NOT A CLOCK
The timer combines the UV forecast and cloud cover from Apple Weather, the sun's angle where you are, and the minutes your watch records in daylight to track how much of your sunscreen's protection you've used up, instead of counting down a fixed two hours. The forecast is fetched once a day; out of signal, the app estimates UV from the sun's position on its own.
A MORNING PROMPT
When the sun is high enough to matter — earlier in summer, later in winter — and again when the dose runs out. Indoors all day? Just the morning one.
ON THE WATCH FACE
Complications for every watch face that supports them show the time remaining or the time to reapply, without opening anything. In the Smart Stack and on faces set to Multicolor, the colors follow the strength of the sun and the time of day.
OPTIONAL
Health access (Time in Daylight) and Location let the timer follow your actual sun. Without them it works from your time zone and assumes you're mostly indoors. The app asks for both once, right after the short first-launch tutorial.
PRIVATE
No account, no ads, no tracking. The app has no server of its own: Health data never leaves your watch, and your approximate location goes only to Apple Weather, once a day, for the UV forecast.
Runs on the watch alone; requires watchOS 26. The timings are estimates modeled from forecasts and sensors, not a direct measurement, and not medical advice — check with your doctor before relying on them.
