KLANG is a software environment for building, modifying and performing electronic music systems.
It connects software processes with MIDI, modular and semi-modular synthesizers, Eurorack systems, drum machines and other hardware — allowing software-generated control and modulation to become part of a physical electronic music setup.

KLANG combines sequencers, patterns, triggers, modulation, envelopes, wavetables and algorithmic processes inside a visual patching environment. These can interact with each other and with external instruments through MIDI and MIDI-to-CV interfaces.
Rather than replacing the instruments in your studio, KLANG is designed to augment them.
Create patterns and sequences, then disrupt them. Modulate pitch, timing and parameters. Introduce variation, drift and controlled randomness. Build systems that can repeat, evolve or become unstable — and then perform the resulting system in real time.
KLANG includes:

KLANG can operate at the centre of a setup or simply become another machine within it. Connect MIDI controllers, synthesizers, drum machines or a modular system and use KLANG to create relationships between them that would otherwise be difficult to build.
It is intended for experimental electronic music, generative systems, modular synthesis, sound design and live performance.
KLANG is a standalone macOS application.
Hardware Requirements
KLANG is designed to work with external MIDI and CV hardware.
To get started, you need at least one MIDI-capable synthesizer, drum machine, sound module or other MIDI device that KLANG can control.
To use KLANG with Eurorack or other CV-controlled equipment, you will also need a MIDI-to-CV interface.
KLANG can be used with MIDI hardware alone — a Eurorack system is not required.
