Which route is really quicker

Time the ways you already know. After a few runs it says which road is faster, and by how much, and says too close to call when it honestly is.
Which way to school is actually quicker? Not the way a map guesses, but the way it really goes, with your car, your junctions and your traffic.
School Run Timer is a stopwatch that remembers. Add the two, three or four ways you already know. Press Start as you pull away and Arrived as you pull up. Do that a handful of times down each road, and the app tells you which one is quicker, by how much, and what that adds up to over a school year.
It is honest about what it knows. A road takes a different time every morning: a garbage truck, a red light, a school bus. The app only names a quickest route when the gap between two routes is bigger than that day-to-day swing. Until then it says the answer is too close to call and asks for a few more runs. And if you have been setting off on one route at eight o'clock and on another at twenty past, it says so, because ten minutes earlier beats any road.
WHAT IT DOES
- Start and Arrived. Two taps, and the run is kept against the route you chose.
- The clock carries on when you lock the phone, close the app or take a call.
- Every route's usual time, best time and worst time, side by side as bars.
- A plain verdict: which route is quickest, by how much a run, and what that saves over a school year.
- Too close to call, when two routes genuinely are.
- Journeys, so the morning run to school and the run home again are kept apart and never mixed up.
- A run that was not a fair one, because of a detour or a stop for gas or a road closed, is thrown away with one tap.
- A backup in your own iCloud, so a new phone does not start the timing again from nothing.
NO LOCATION, NO MAPS, NO TRACKING
The app never asks for your location and could not take it if it wanted to. There is no account, no sign-in and no server of ours. Everything stays on your phone, and the only copy anywhere else is the one in your own iCloud, under your own Apple Account. It works with no signal at all.
BOUGHT ONCE
One price on the App Store and that is the end of it. Nothing to unlock inside, no subscription, no advertising.
It was made for the school run, and it works the same way for the commute, the drive to the station, the delivery round or the walk to work.
