LevelVan: Level Your Camper

Centimetres, not degrees

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Don't read "1.8 degrees", read: rear left, 9 centimetres, ramp stage 2. LevelVan turns your iPhone's tilt into the height that is missing under the wheel. LevelVan tells you which wheel to raise and by how many centimetres. Not an angle you have to convert first. Put the iPhone on the dashboard, start "Level", drive slowly onto the ramp. The instruction updates live and reads from two metres away, so your eyes can stay on the mirror. HOW IT WORKS 1. Add your vehicle. Enter wheelbase and track width: that is what turns a tilt into a real height in centimetres. One degree means something different on a panel van than on a caravan. 2. Add your ramps. Enter the real step heights of your levelling ramps. LevelVan then names the stage to use, instead of handing you a number you would have to translate to your own ramps. 3. Level. One wheel, one instruction, one number. Colour and word say the same thing, so the state is clear even with sun on the display. CALIBRATE ONCE Every iPhone has a small sensor error, and the camera bump tilts the device on top of that. LevelVan measures both away: place it, turn it 180 degrees, done. The app takes the samples itself as soon as the device rests still: no buttons, no shaky readings. If the measured error is implausible, LevelVan says so instead of storing it. FREE Levelling itself stays free, with one vehicle and one ramp profile. No ads, no account, no sign-up. LEVELVAN PRO: ONE-TIME PURCHASE • Unlimited vehicles • Unlimited ramp profiles • Voice guidance: the instruction is spoken while you manoeuvre • Everything added to Pro later One purchase, no subscription. PRIVACY Levelling works offline. Your vehicles, ramps and calibration stay on the device. Anonymous usage statistics are off by default: LevelVan asks once and only counts which screens are used if you agree: no names, no measurements, no precise location. Changeable at any time. German and English, light and dark, iPhone and iPad. IMPORTANT LevelVan does not replace a spirit level for safety-critical work. It levels a parked camper. When driving onto ramps, always go by what you see, not by the display.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

Clearer information about usage statistics: the question at first launch now says exactly what is counted, and that the server only derives the country from the connection. Statistics stay off by default. Plus smaller improvements behind the scenes.
