New creatures and map - Redrawn creatures: they face 8 directions and walk, eat and swim. Newborns start small and grow up. - Animals sink into the water and swim, with ripples on the surface. Crocodiles lie in wait with only their eyes and nostrils above the water. - Redrawn trees and rocks, now including conifers. - Shadows follow the sun: long in the morning and evening, short at midday. The ground has gentle hills, and sandy shores surround ponds and rivers. Improvements - The arrows on the Move button have been redrawn to be easier to recognize. Bug fixes - In Free mode, grass sometimes grew back very slowly on one side of a river that splits the map. This has been fixed.

Improvements - Buttons and screens now use Ikimono Hakoniwa's own original icons (creatures look the same as on the map). Bug fixes - The Settings panel no longer hides behind the minimap in the lower left.

New - Bigger maps in free mode: choose 1, 2 or 3 screens wide with Map size in Settings (2 by default). - Pinch to zoom in and out, and move the view with the Move tool or a two-finger drag. - A minimap in the lower left: tap to jump there, or drag to scroll the view. Long-press and drag to move the minimap itself, or hide it in Settings. Improvements - Population caps now grow with the map's area. Population caps in Settings shows the current limits. - Stopping Follow in the Observe tool now returns the view to where you were. - Buttons in Settings respond faster. - Existing saves load as before (as a one-screen map). Bug fixes - Fixed the text selection menu (Copy, etc.) sometimes appearing on a long press.

New - "Place in bulk" in Settings: place 5 or 10 animals with one tap, or fill the map with grass (free version: 5 tries a day). - "Predators arriving on their own" in Settings: turn foxes and wolves off individually. - In free mode, a buffalo herd now fights back against foxes and wolves that catch up with it. Improvements - Rebalanced free mode: predators no longer take over, so the rise and fall of grass, rabbits and predators is easier to see. - Animals now turn smoothly and no longer jitter when walking or fleeing. - Adjusted the goals of a few challenges to match the new fleeing behavior. Bug fixes - Fixed animals crowding the edges of the screen or getting stuck at the border. - Fixed grass sometimes not growing back for a while after being eaten down. - Fixed crocodiles getting stuck where a pond meets the river, or chasing prey in a different pond. - Fixed crocodiles sometimes starting on land, and grass growing in the river, at the start of free mode.
