Fraction PON lets children explore those questions by joining and halving colorful circles and squares. Move the pieces, compare their sizes, and connect what you see with the numbers. A hands-on starting point for children meeting fractions, with room to experiment at their own pace.

Join 1/2 and 1/4 to make 3/4. The equation changes from 1/2 + 1/4 to 2/4 + 1/4 = 3/4. See how using equal-sized parts gives the fractions a common denominator.

Cut a whole into halves, then cut a half again. Watch the shapes and numbers change together. Join the pieces back up to explore how the same amount can be split into different parts.

Begin by joining two halves. Move on to different denominators, extra pieces to choose between, and multiple targets to make at once. Mixed numbers such as 2 and 1/3 appear too.
Choose any puzzle from the list and replay completed puzzles. Ready for another challenge? Look for a solution with fewer cuts.
A LITTLE HELP WHEN YOU NEED IT
The first 90 puzzles offer optional hints, including a glow around the pieces to try next. You still make the moves yourself. The final 20 puzzles have no hints.
