What can I eat today? Orthodox fasting rules for the New and Old calendar, computed offline on your device. No account, no ads, no subscription. Nisteia answers one question at a glance: what can I eat today? • Today screen — fasting level, allowed foods (meat, dairy, fish, wine, oil), the reason, and the saints of the day • Color-coded monthly calendar — plan meals and shopping for the whole fast • Fasting log (Pro) — mark each day kept, adapted, or not this time, and see your month at a glance • Seasons — countdown to the next fast, progress through the current one • Food guide — what's allowed and avoided today, including the shellfish rule that surprises everyone • New AND Old Calendar support — choose during setup • 6 languages: English, Greek, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Bulgarian Nisteia covers Great Lent, the Nativity Fast, the Apostles' Fast, the Dormition Fast, and the ordinary Wednesday and Friday fasts, on both the Revised Julian and the Julian calendar. Accurate by design: fasting rules follow the OCA guide, computed entirely on your device and validated day-by-day against orthocal.info across 14 years with zero mismatches. Fasting accuracy is never behind a paywall. Private by design: no account, no login, no ads, no analytics — nothing is ever sent to us, and Nisteia works fully offline. Your data stays on your device and in your own iCloud backup, so a new device can restore it. The fasting log has no streaks and no scores — it is a private record for your own reflection, not a scoreboard. Nisteia Pro: a single unlock, no subscription — pay once, keep it forever. Pro opens the full calendar so you can browse any year, forward and back, and unlocks the private fasting log. Everything else, including every fasting rule, is free. Fasting practice is personal — consult your priest for your own situation.
