One key opens a note over any app, or peek it from your notch. Markdown, links, tags and math as you type, synced through your own iCloud. Free for 3 notes, $4.99 once.
Cirrus keeps your notes one keystroke away. Press Control-Command-N in any app and a note floats above your work. Write it down, press Escape, and you are right back where you were.
ALWAYS AT HAND
• Show and hide your notes from any app with a global shortcut you can change.
• Keep a small pill on any edge of the screen. Hover to peek at your notes and type straight in, or click to open them. On a MacBook with a notch, the notch becomes the pill.
• Keep Open holds a note in front of everything while you work.
JUST WRITE
• Markdown without the clutter. Headings, checklists, highlights in five colors, images, code, and tables look the way they should, and the symbols stay out of sight.
• Math as you write. End a line with = and the answer appears beside it. Units, dates, time zones, and exchange rates all work. Click an answer to copy it.
• Link notes with [[Note Title]]. Typing [[ suggests titles and can create a note that does not exist yet.
• Type #tag anywhere in a note, then search by it. Fold a section away under its heading.
FIND AND DO ANYTHING FAST
• The command palette (Command-K) runs every action. Give it a shortcut of your own to open it from any app.
• Command-P finds any note and shows the matching line.
• Pin the notes you use most and open them with Control-1 to Control-9. Archive the ones you are done with.
• Capture the clipboard in a keystroke, or turn on Paste Mode to gather everything you copy into one note.
• Shortcuts, Siri, and cirrus:// links create, open, read, and add to notes. Notes appear in Spotlight.
YOUR NOTES, YOUR ICLOUD
• Notes sync between your Macs through your own private iCloud. There is no account to create and no server of ours in between. Cirrus works without iCloud too.
• Export every note as Markdown files whenever you like, and keep a daily backup of the last seven days.
• Tint the panel with a preset or any color, and set its opacity from glass to solid. Light and dark appearance follow the system or your choice.

• The panel hides when you click away, unless Keep Open is on.
• Click the menu bar icon to show or hide the panel. Right-click for the menu.
• Turn iCloud sync off on a single Mac.
• If Cirrus quits unexpectedly, it offers to email the crash report. Nothing is sent unless you send it.
• Copy Diagnostics in Settings › About, for bug reports.
• A new app icon, with dark and tinted versions.
