Your own watches from the skipper's watch bill, and an alarm before each one. Scan the skipper's code; no signal needed. Free with Rainbow's End Watch Bill. You come off watch at 04:00, sleep hard, and wake not knowing when you are due back on. Watch Bill Crew shows your own watches from the skipper's watch bill: when you are on, whether on the helm or as lookout, and your time off watch. It sets an alarm before each of your watches. It is the free crew app for Rainbow's End Watch Bill. Scan the code on the skipper's screen; no signal is needed. Your phone then shows a code the skipper scans back, which records that your phone has this version of the plan. We built it aboard our ketch Rainbow, for the crew who stand the watches. HOW IT WORKS 1. Scan the code on the skipper's Share tab. 2. Choose your name. 3. iOS asks about alarms. With alarms on, your wake call rings with the phone on Silent. 4. Show your code to the skipper, who scans it back. MY WATCH — Your status first: on watch until when, or off watch until your next. On watch, it says when you move from lookout to the helm and who comes on. Night view, red on black, is one tap at the top. THE WATCH BILL — Helm, Lookout and Off watch for the watches ahead, the current one shaded, and the full schedule. ALARMS — On iOS 26, a wake call is a full-screen alarm that rings with the phone on Silent. On earlier iOS it comes as a notification, which Silent and Focus can hide, and the app says so. Test it from Alarms on this phone: it rings in one minute. WHICH VERSION — Your phone always says which version of the plan it holds, and when you scanned it. When the skipper changes the plan, scan the new code. Until you do, your phone follows the old one. Leave a voyage when you step off the boat, and its alarms go with it. No account. Works offline. The camera is used only to scan a code, and nothing it sees is kept. On iPhone and iPad. WHAT IT WON'T DO • Change the plan. Only the skipper does, in Watch Bill. • Promise you wake. The person on watch wakes you in person; this phone is the backup. • Learn of a change it has not scanned. Watch Bill Crew needs a plan made in Rainbow's End Watch Bill, sold separately on the App Store. May you find a rainbow's end and treasure found wherever you sail or set your anchor.
