Scumble is a fast, friendly image editor for your Mac. Open a photo or start a blank canvas, then paint, cut things out, add captions and speech bubbles, fix the light and color, and finish with effects, all with a live preview.
PAINT AND DRAW
• Paintbrush and eraser with adjustable width and antialiasing
• Paint bucket with tolerance, and a color picker that can average nearby pixels
• Shapes: rectangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, triangle, line, and arrow, as an outline, a fill, or both
• Gradients: linear, reflected, radial, diamond, and conical (Pro)
ADD TEXT YOUR WAY
• Plain text, speech bubbles, and pills
• Any font installed on your Mac, with size, bold, italic, and your choice of text and background colors
• Drag the text exactly where you want it before you add it
SELECT PRECISELY
• Rectangle and ellipse selections, and Invert Selection
• Lasso (freehand or polygon) and Magic Wand, with add, subtract, and intersect (Pro)
• Cut, copy, paste, fill, erase, move, and crop to any selection
LAYERS
• Add, duplicate, merge, reorder, and hide layers, with opacity and blend modes
• Rotate, zoom, flip, and nudge a layer by itself
• Save a Scumble file to keep every layer for later (Pro)
FIX THE LIGHT AND COLOR
• Brightness and Contrast, Hue and Saturation, Black and White, Sepia, and Invert Colors
• Curves, Levels, Auto-Level, Exposure, Highlights and Shadows, Posterize, and Temperature and Tint (Pro)
