Welcome to Fox & Fabric, a gentle dress-up shop game for children.
You are the shopkeeper of a little fashion boutique, helped by Frida Fox, a friendly tailor with a measuring tape around her neck. Animal customers come in and show you what they would like to wear. Pick the right top, bottoms, shoes and hat, choose the colours and patterns, and see how happy you can make them.
NO READING NEEDED
Every order is shown with pictures instead of words, so even children who cannot read yet can play on their own. A friendly pointing hand explains each game the first time you play it.
DRESS 21 ANIMAL FRIENDS
Bears, bunnies, cats, pandas, mice, dogs and pigs visit your shop. Each one has a name, a favourite colour and something of their own to say. Dress a customer perfectly and they will sign your photo album.
MAKE EVERYTHING BY HAND
New clothes are not simply bought, they are made in your own workshop. Cut the fabric, sew the pieces, close a zip, fold pleats, dye and stir the colour, sieve out the lumps, fan it cool, hammer the soles of new shoes, lace them up, bend a buckle, thread beads, knit in rhythm, embroider a heart and sew on buttons from memory. Twenty-five little games in all, each one matched to the thing you are making.
41 THINGS TO UNLOCK
Six kinds of tops, six bottoms, six pairs of shoes, six hats, fourteen colours, four patterns and eight decorations such as ribbons, pompoms, buckles, feathers and pearls. Every piece you make can be ordered by your customers from then on.
DECORATE YOUR BOUTIQUE
Spend your coins on bunting, plants, fairy lights, a fish bowl and more, and choose the wallpaper and the counter. A pretty shop means bigger tips. You can also dress up Frida herself with aprons, hats, scarves and glasses.
A CALM GAME
There is no way to lose, no timer counting down to trouble and no pressure. A customer waits patiently, every minigame can be tried again, and the very first customer is always happy. Come back the next day and Frida leaves a small gift in the till. Perfect for children aged about 4 to 9.
