EPRIS Journal
Art, architecture & design
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
EPRIS Journal is an independent magazine about contemporary art, architecture and interior design: long-form interviews with the architects, photographers, painters and designers whose work is worth sitting with.
This is the journal's own app. Every piece is typeset for reading, the photography opens at full size, and anything you save stays on your phone for when you have no signal.
READING
• Long-form interviews and essays, laid out for iPhone and iPad rather than squeezed from a web page
• Photography you can open full screen, pinch to zoom, save or share
• Adjustable text size, on top of the system's own Dynamic Type
• Full dark mode
QUIZZES
• Most pieces end with a short quiz, some of it answered by picking a photograph
• Every quiz is also on the front page and in one list, with your best scores
• Share your result as a card
OFFLINE
• Save any piece with one tap: the words and every photograph download to your device
• Read on a plane, underground or anywhere else without a connection
• See how much storage your downloads use and reclaim it whenever you want
FINDING THINGS
• Search the full archive by title, author, subject or tag, in the app or from your iPhone's own search
• Browse by section: architecture, culture, design, photography and more
• The app remembers where you stopped reading and offers to pick the piece back up
NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING
There is no sign-up, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The app collects no personal data. What you save and how far you have read stay on your device and are never sent anywhere.
EPRIS Journal is published independently. Reading it is free, and it always will be.
