SET UP BEFORE THE POPCORN IS READY
• FMote finds your TV on your Wi-Fi by itself, or you can connect by IP address
• Type the code your TV shows. You only do this once
• No developer mode, no settings to dig through, nothing to install on the TV
A REMOTE THAT FEELS RIGHT
• A big, glowing D-pad, or a swipe pad if you prefer: swipe to move, tap for OK, swipe and hold to glide through long rows
• Home, Back, Menu, play/pause, and rewind and fast-forward with the skip length you choose
• Volume and mute on TVs that support HDMI-CEC
• Night keys dim the remote when your screen is dim
TALK, TYPE OR TAP
• Voice: tap Voice and say a show, an app or a song
• Keyboard: type searches and passwords with your iPhone's keyboard; the text appears on the TV as you type
• Apps: all your TV's apps in one list. Pin favorites and the first four sit right on your remote
EVERY TV IN THE HOUSE
• Save several TVs, name them ("Bedroom", "Kids' room"), star favorites and choose a default
• FMote reconnects quietly and wakes a sleeping TV when you press a key
• Handy extras: open the TV's settings, put it to sleep, or make a lost remote play a sound (on remotes that support it)
BEYOND YOUR PHONE
• Apple Watch: D-pad, playback and Home on your wrist. Turn the Digital Crown for volume, and dictate or scribble text. Commands travel through your iPhone.
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets: play/pause, Home and more without opening the app
• Control Center and the Action button (iOS 18): TV Play/Pause, TV Home, TV Mute and Open Remote
• Siri and Shortcuts: "Pause the TV with FMote", or open one of your TV's apps
Widgets, controls, the Watch app and Shortcuts work once a TV is paired in the iPhone app.
FMote speaks English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Nederlands, Português, 日本語 and हिन्दी.
GOOD TO KNOW
• Your iPhone and your TV need to be on the same Wi-Fi network.
• FMote asks for Local Network access to find your TV, and for the microphone only when you use Voice. Your voice goes only to your TV while you speak; FMote doesn't record or store it.
• No account. Anonymous usage statistics and crash reports help us improve FMote; turn them off anytime in Settings.
FMOTE PRO
The remote itself is free: the D-pad, swipe pad, keys, volume, apps, keyboard, TVs and settings never need a subscription. FMote Pro unlocks the features marked PRO in the app, such as Voice, the Apple Watch remote, widgets, Control Center controls and Siri Shortcuts, and Pro stays ad-free, always.
Choose a weekly ($1.99), monthly ($3.99) or yearly ($9.99) subscription. Prices are in US dollars; your local price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple Account (Apple ID) settings. Restore Purchases is on the FMote Pro screen.
